Weld Mold® 210

The “quick freeze” weld puddle with a balanced composition of deoxidizers help to control porosity and provide consistently good overall weld quality. Can be used for overlaying where a high RC hardness is not required. A pre-heat may be required depending upon the type of base alloy and its thickness.

Applications

Weld Mold 210 can be used for the fabrication of thick sections of AISI 4130, 4140 and P-20 steels as well as combinations of these steels when matching mechanical properties are not required.

Procedure

When welding on mild steel this material should not require any special considerations. When welding on medium or high alloy material follow the procedure for that specific material.

GMAW - DC+100% Ar or 92%Ar/8% CO2
GTAW - DC- 100%Ar
