Recommended for fabrication and repair of silicon bronzes, copper alloys and many metals with an iron base such as cast and malleable irons. Also for galvanized iron and for joining cast iron to steel.
Clean base metal well. Copper alloy should be preheated to 600° to 700° F. and temperature should be maintained during welding. Use only stringer passes. Use straight argon gas on thin material. The addition of helium may be required to weld very thick sections.
