Weld Mold® 225-T CM
Primarily used for welding chromium molybdenum steels. This rod is also designed for railroad track repair applications such as rail ends, switch points and carbon steel frogs.
Applications
Typically used for welding 1 ¼ chrome ½ moly steels for pressure piping. Other uses include fabrications of race and stock car components, pressure vessels, cast and wrought sections of chrome/moly steel. Can also be used on P-20 on non-working areas of the mold. Pre-heat according to base metal chemistry and thickness of metal to be welded.
Procedure
When welding on mild steel this material should not require any special considerations. On medium or high alloy material follow the procedure for that specific material.
SMAW - DC+
GMAW - DC+ 100% Ar or 92%Ar/8% CO2
