Weld Mold® 3315
Weld Mold No. 3315-C electrodes are manganese, chromium, nickel and nitrogen enriched alloys for superior galling and wear resistance. Its corrosion and pitting resistance is better than 304 and 316 types stainless. It also provides excellent high temperature oxidation resistance and low temperature impact resistance. It will take temperatures up to 1400°F.
Applications
Mainly used for welding Nitronic 60 stainless steels to themselves or for overlaying of valve stems, seats and trim, screening, chain drive systems, pins, fastening systems, bushings and roller bearings.
Procedure
Clean all areas to be welded and keep interpass temperatures as low as possible while welding on 300 series stainless steels.
