Weld Mold® 4187
Weld Mold 4187 is a premium coated electrode depositing high copper alloy for joining dissimilar combinations of copper and nickel alloy materials.
Application:
Weld Mold 4187 is for welding 70/30, 80/20, and 90/10 copper-nickel alloys. Because of its excellent resistance to seawater-induced corrosion, Weld Mold 4187 is widely used in marine applications. This product will also join many dissimilar combinations of ®Monel, Nickel 200 and Monel® 450
Procedure:
Remove all defects and surface contaminants. Pre-heat is not required except when welding alloy steels, then, base material will dictate pre-heat temperature. Multi-layer build-ups are acceptable. Slow cool when finished welding.
