Weld Mold® 4320
Weld Mold 4320 is a copper alloy base, 8% tin bronze deposit that has excellent frictional resistance.
Applications
4320 is typically used for joining, build-up and repair applications. This versatile phosphor bronze rod can also be used for joining or surfacing of cast iron, bronze, red brass and joining dissimilar metals. Also used for the repair of gears, couplings, bushings and bearings.
Procedure
Clean weld area of all dirt and other foreign substances. Pre-heat cast iron to 600ºF, phosphor bronze castings to 400ºF, and copper to approximately 800ºF. Pre-heats must be held during welding. When welding copper based alloys always use the lowest welding current in order to achieve a sound deposit.
