Weld Mold® 4325
Weld Mold 4325 is a silicon bronze alloy recommended for fabrication and repair of silicon bronzes and iron-based materials.
Applications
Used for welding galvanized, cast and malleable iron, copper based alloys, steel and silicon bronze. Excellent for welding cast iron to steel and when welding dirty, oily or burned cast or malleable iron, also for galvanized iron and for joining cast iron to steel.
Procedure
Clean weld area of all dirt and other foreign substances. Pre-heat cast iron to 600ºF, phosphor bronze castings to 400ºF, and copper to approximately 800ºF. Pre-heats must be held during welding. When welding copper based alloys always use the lowest welding current in order to achieve a sound deposit.
