Weld Mold® Polyface® 640
Description
Weld Mold 640 is a Nickel-Chrome-Boron premium alloy for hard facing where resistance to severe abrasion is required. The weld deposit has a low coefficient of friction for superior metal-to-metal wear under high stress. With great wear under corrosive conditions, it will retain its hardness to 1,200°F, and can be hot formed.
Applications
Weld Mold 640 has a wide range of applications on valves components, shafts, mill guides and sleeves, sprocket teeth, rocker arms, and bushings. Weld Mold 640 is also use where chemicals are processed or used.
Procedure
Remove all defects and surface contaminants. A minimum preheat of 400°F is recommended
