Weld Mold® 4112-C
Weld Mold 4112 is a premium quality coated nickel based-chrome-moly electrode with excellent operating characteristics. This material has high strength at normal operating conditions and at elevated temperatures.
Application:
Weld Mold 4112 is used for cryogenic, chemical and petrochemical applications, as well as heat treatment furnaces. Inconel® alloys 601, 625, and dissimilar joining of 800, 825 and 800HT to steel and stainless steel. Weld Mold 4112 will also join 625,718, X-750 and 760 to 9% nickel steels.
Procedure:
Remove all defects and surface contaminants. Pre-heat will be dictated by the base metal. Can be used as a multi-layer build-up. Interpass temperature should be kept below 200°F and use the lowest practical amperage. Cool, the weld as quickly as possible.
